James joined Akambo in 2024 as an investment manager, bringing over two decades of experience across investments, superannuation, wealth management, investment banking, and law. His career has taken him from equity sales and M&A law into senior investment roles, including portfolio management at Equipsuper, where he was responsible for diversified portfolios across both listed and unlisted asset classes. James holds a Bachelor of Commerce and a Juris Doctor from The University of Melbourne.
James thrives on applying his commercial insight, analytical strength, and collaborative approach to uncover opportunities and manage risk with care. He’s particularly passionate about long-term strategic thematics and takes pride in delivering thoughtful, evidence-based solutions that help clients stay confident, no matter the market cycle. His experience across asset classes and industry sectors gives him a broad lens and the ability to adapt in an ever-changing investment landscape.
James enjoys spending time with his family and friends outside the office. He is often in the kitchen, trying out new recipes or enjoying great food together. He stays active through regular exercise and values a balanced life built on curiosity, connection, and clear direction, which guides his investment approach.
